Cinematographer stuff

Just thought this video might be useful to ross and stu. There's something wrong with the video with it's size as I'm sure you can see so visit the site makingof.com to view it properly and see part 2 if you wish.

some new inspiration

found these shorts that have some real nice cameras.

Look At Me from Patrick Lawler on Vimeo.

also has some nice ideas about using cameras marco capabilities.

Macrolight from Patrick Lawler on Vimeo.

this one below was filmed on a canon 7D i think, even though the story isn't great it does look good.

Location Scouting 1

Title Credits - Celestial Atlas Style

Here is an idea that I had for how the opening credits could look. These are just a rough idea, but I imagine the grid, and then each credit appearing in order on the map, overlaid over our image/s.

possible song

Here's a possible song for the end credits or for the montage. Thinking the last minute and a half would be the most useful.

I like it cause its subtle and reminds me of the night garden sequences in Coraline which is quite magical and full of stars. It is about a man looking at this strange, beautiful woman that he's in love while she dances underneath the Northern Lights which is nearly like our story.

Sound Equipment

Here's some sound equipment I've had a look at.

The Audio ltd rms 2020 radio mic for doing LS dialogue scenes.

"The well proven RMS2020 provides the professional sound mixer great flexability for all apllications. Reliable RF with the highest audio quality." Here's the website:

Sennheiser SKP 500 G2 plug-on transmitter is for converting any wired mic to wireless which might be good if we want to capture onto a pd150/70 or the camera that we will be filming the master footage to cut down the wires used:

I think that it would be better and easier to capture onto tape rather than finding a solid state recorder since they seem expensive and we've never used them. Unless of course, and it is a long shot, Uni could supply one through the sound engineering dept.
